Overview

This document is the English version of the Japanese Pharmacopoeia is an official document that defines the specifications, criteria and standard test methods necessary to properly assure the quality of medicines in Japan. It contains information on general rules for crude drugs, general rules for preparations of drugs, general tests, processes and apparatu, and official monographs. There is no monograph specific for multi-micronutrient supplement formulas (MMS), however, monographs are available for different ingredients and packaging materials.

In each monograph, physical and chemical descriptions are provided, as well as  identification tests. Overall, this is a very useful, online, free pharmacopoeia from a respected regulator which manufacturers can refer to when manufacturing MMS.
